Murgh Tikka Tacos, also known as Chicken Tikka Tacos, are a delicious fusion of East Indian flavors with a Mexican twist. These tacos are filled with tender, marinated chicken pieces and topped with a refreshing slaw, creating a perfect combination of spicy and tangy flavors.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt to taste
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 lime, juiced
- Sliced red onion and jalapenos for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, paprika, and salt. Add the chicken pieces and marinate for at least 1 hour.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the marinated chicken until fully cooked, about 10-12 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, carrots, cilantro, mayonnaise, and lime juice to make the slaw.
- Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
- Assemble the tacos by placing a spoonful of the cooked chicken on each tortilla, topping with the slaw, and garnishing with sliced red onion and jalapenos.
