Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 pound ground beef or chicken
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour and salt. Add the egg and water, then mix until a smooth batter forms. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the ground meat, onions, beaten eggs, curry powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and lightly oil the surface.
  4. Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan and spread it thinly. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the bottom is set.
  5. Spoon a portion of the meat mixture onto one half of the pancake. Fold the other half over to cover the filling, creating a half-moon shape. Press the edges to seal.
  6. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Repeat with the remaining batter and filling.
  8. Slice and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
