Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons sumac
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 8 soft taco shells
- Chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the sumac, cumin, allspice, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Rub the chicken breasts with this spice mixture and let them marinate for 15 minutes.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until they are soft and caramelized.
- Push the onions to the side of the skillet and add the marinated chicken breasts. Cook for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until the chicken is fully cooked.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and shred it using two forks.
- Warm the soft taco shells according to the package instructions.
- Assemble the tacos by filling each shell with the shredded chicken and caramelized onions. Garnish with chopped parsley.
