Muscadine Jelly

Ingredients
- 5 cups muscadine grapes, stemmed and washed
- 4 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 package powdered pectin
Instructions
- In a large pot, crush the grapes with a potato masher.
- Add water, bring to a boil, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Pour the mixture into a jelly bag and let it drip into a bowl overnight.
- Measure the juice and pour it into a pot. Add sugar and pectin, then bring to a rolling boil.
- Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly, then remove from heat.
- Skim off any foam and pour the hot jelly into sterilized jars.
- Seal the jars and process in a boiling water bath for 5 minutes.
- Allow the jelly to cool and set before serving.
