Mushroom and Cheese Tartlets (Seene- ja juustutartletid)

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 200g mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 100g grated cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 12 equal squares.
  3. Press the pastry squares into a muffin tin, forming small tartlet shells.
  4. In a pan, sauté the mushrooms and onions until they are soft and any liquid has evaporated. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Divide the mushroom mixture among the pastry shells, then top each with grated cheese.
  6. Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
