Mushroom-Stuffed Dumplings (Sēņu pildīti pelmeņi)

Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups chopped mushrooms
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the flour, water, and salt to form a dough. Knead the dough for 5 minutes, then cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- In a pan, melt the butter and sauté the onions and garlic until fragrant. Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture. Season with salt and pepper.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut it into small circles. Place a spoonful of the mushroom mixture in the center of each circle, then fold and seal the edges to form dumplings.
- Boil the dumplings in salted water for 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
- Serve the dumplings with a dollop of sour cream on top.
