Ingredients
- 1 pound okra, washed and dried
- 2 tablespoons mustard paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Trim the ends of the okra and cut them into halves lengthwise.
- In a bowl, mix the mustard paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard mixture. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the okra and sauté for 5 minutes.
- Pour water into the pan, cover, and cook for 10 minutes or until the okra is tender.
