Mutta Roast (coorgi Style Egg Roast)
Mutta Roast is a delicious Coorgi style egg roast that is a popular dish in Kodava Cuisine. It is a flavorful and aromatic dish that can be enjoyed with rice, roti, or bread.
Ingredients
- 6 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat coconut oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until they turn golden brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, and sauté for a few minutes.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
- Now add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala. Mix well and cook for a couple of minutes.
- Gently add the hard-boiled eggs to the masala and coat them evenly.
- Cook for 5-7 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally, until the eggs are well coated with the masala.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
