Mutton Chukka (spicy Mutton Chukka)

Ingredients

  • 500g mutton, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté for a few minutes.
  4. Add turmeric powder, chili powder, and coriander powder. Mix well.
  5. Add the mutton pieces and cook until the meat is browned.
  6. Add chopped tomatoes and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the mutton is tender.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
