Mutton Seekh Kebab (spiced Lamb Kebabs)

Ingredients

  • 500g minced mutton (lamb)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the minced mutton, chopped onion, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, fresh coriander, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
  2. Knead the mixture well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.
  3. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion onto skewers to form kebabs.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the kebabs in the pan and cook for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are evenly browned and cooked through.
  5. Once cooked, remove the kebabs from the pan and serve hot with mint chutney or naan bread.
