Mutton Seekh Kebabs (kakori Seekh Kebab)

Ingredients

  • 500g mutton, minced
  • 2 tbsp raw papaya paste
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
  • 2 tbsp mint leaves, chopped
  • 2 tbsp roasted gram flour (besan)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the minced mutton, raw papaya paste, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, chopped onion, fresh coriander, mint leaves, roasted gram flour, and salt. Mix well and let it marinate for 2 hours.
  2. Preheat the grill or stovetop griddle.
  3. Take a handful of the marinated mutton mixture and mold it onto the skewers, forming long kebabs.
  4. Place the kebabs on the grill or griddle and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are evenly browned and cooked through.
  5. Once cooked, serve the Mutton Seekh Kebabs hot with mint chutney and onion rings.
