Mutton Seekh Kebabs (kakori Seekh Kebab)
Mutton Seekh Kebabs, also known as Kakori Seekh Kebab, are a popular dish from the Awadhi Cuisine, known for its rich and aromatic flavors.
Ingredients
- 500g mutton, minced
- 2 tbsp raw papaya paste
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
- 2 tbsp mint leaves, chopped
- 2 tbsp roasted gram flour (besan)
- Salt to taste

Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the minced mutton, raw papaya paste, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, chopped onion, fresh coriander, mint leaves, roasted gram flour, and salt. Mix well and let it marinate for 2 hours.
- Preheat the grill or stovetop griddle.
- Take a handful of the marinated mutton mixture and mold it onto the skewers, forming long kebabs.
- Place the kebabs on the grill or griddle and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are evenly browned and cooked through.
- Once cooked, serve the Mutton Seekh Kebabs hot with mint chutney and onion rings.
