Ingredients

  • 500g chicken, cut into pieces
  • 3 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 4-5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger and garlic, and cook for a few minutes.
  3. Next, add the chicken pieces and cook until they turn golden.
  4. Now, add the tomato puree, green chilies, and all the spices. Cook for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Add the cubed potatoes and cook until the chicken and potatoes are tender.
  6. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
