Muya Boti (spicy Lamb Kebabs)
Muya Boti is a traditional Tripuri dish consisting of spicy lamb kebabs that are bursting with flavor. This dish is perfect for a special occasion or a family gathering, and it's sure to impress your guests with its unique taste.
Ingredients
- 500g lamb, cut into cubes
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the lamb cubes with ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour.
- Thread the marinated lamb cubes onto skewers.
- Heat mustard oil in a pan and add the finely chopped onion. Cook until the onion turns golden brown.
- Add the lamb skewers to the pan and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked through and has a nice char.
- Serve the Muya Boti hot with lemon wedges.
