Ingredients

  • 500g chicken, cut into pieces
  • 200g mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.
  2. Add ginger and garlic paste, and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the chicken pieces and cook until they turn golden brown.
  4. Stir in the tomato puree, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the mushrooms, green chilies, and garam masala. Cook for another 10 minutes or until the chicken is tender.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
