Naga Rice Beer Chicken (zutho Chicken)

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 cups Naga rice beer (Zutho)
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 4-5 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with Naga rice beer, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Let it marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
  3. Add the marinated chicken and green chilies to the pan. Cook on medium heat until the chicken is tender and the liquid has reduced.
  4. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
