Naga Rice Beer Chicken, also known as Zutho Chicken, is a traditional Naga dish that combines the flavors of Naga rice beer with tender chicken pieces. This dish is a perfect representation of the rich and diverse Naga cuisine.
Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 cups Naga rice beer (Zutho)
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 4-5 green chilies, slit
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken pieces with Naga rice beer, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Let it marinate for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
- Add the marinated chicken and green chilies to the pan. Cook on medium heat until the chicken is tender and the liquid has reduced.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
