Naga Style Beef With Bamboo Shoot
Naga Style Beef with Bamboo Shoot is a traditional Naga cuisine dish that is packed with flavors and spices. This dish is a perfect combination of tender beef and crunchy bamboo shoots, cooked in a rich and aromatic gravy.
Ingredients
- 500g beef, cut into cubes
- 1 cup bamboo shoots, sliced
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 4-5 green chilies, slit
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons Naga chili paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons mustard oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat mustard oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for a few minutes.
- Add the beef cubes and cook until they are browned on all sides.
- Stir in the turmeric powder, Naga chili paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the sliced bamboo shoots and cook for a few minutes.
- Pour in enough water to cover the beef and bamboo shoots. Cover and simmer for 45-50 minutes or until the beef is tender.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
