Naga Style Beef With Bamboo Shoot

Ingredients

  • 500g beef, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup bamboo shoots, sliced
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 4-5 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons Naga chili paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons mustard oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat mustard oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for a few minutes.
  3. Add the beef cubes and cook until they are browned on all sides.
  4. Stir in the turmeric powder, Naga chili paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add the sliced bamboo shoots and cook for a few minutes.
  6. Pour in enough water to cover the beef and bamboo shoots. Cover and simmer for 45-50 minutes or until the beef is tender.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
