Naga Style Beef With Black Sesame

Ingredients

  • 500g beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp black sesame seeds
  • 3-4 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 4-5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 2-3 tbsp mustard oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Water

Instructions

  1. Heat mustard oil in a pan and add black sesame seeds. Roast until fragrant and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, add more oil if needed and sauté the onions, ginger, and garlic until golden brown.
  3. Add the beef slices and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the turmeric, red chili powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Cook for a few minutes.
  5. Pour in water, cover the pan, and simmer until the beef is tender.
  6. Add the roasted black sesame seeds and green chilies. Cook for another 5-7 minutes.
  7. Adjust the seasoning and serve hot.
