Ingredients
- 500g chicken, cut into pieces
- 1 cup bamboo shoots, sliced
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3-4 green chilies, slit
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 4-5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp Naga chili paste
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat mustard oil in a pan and sauté the onions, green chilies, ginger, and garlic until the onions turn golden brown.
- Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are slightly browned.
- Stir in the Naga chili paste, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and black pepper powder. Cook for a few minutes.
- Add the sliced bamboo shoots and chopped tomatoes. Mix well and cook for another 10-15 minutes.
- Once the chicken is cooked through and the flavors have melded, garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or Naga style bread.
