Ingredients
- 500g pork, cut into cubes
- 3 tbsp akhuni (fermented soybean)
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3-4 green chilies, chopped
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- Water
Instructions
- Heat mustard oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
- Add the pork cubes and cook until they are browned on all sides.
- Add the grated ginger, green chilies, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Dissolve the akhuni in a little water and add it to the pork. Stir to combine.
- Add water to cover the pork, cover the pan, and simmer for 1 hour or until the pork is tender.
- Once the pork is cooked, remove the lid and cook until the gravy thickens.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
