Naga Style Smoked Fish Curry

Ingredients

  • 500g smoked fish
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 4 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in the tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add water and bring the mixture to a boil.
  5. Gently place the smoked fish into the pan and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice.
