Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup white miso paste
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup finely chopped mushrooms
- 1/4 cup finely chopped cabbage
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Soy sauce for dipping
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the flour and water to form a dough. Knead the dough for 5 minutes, then cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine the miso paste, green onions, mushrooms, and cabbage to make the filling.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and flatten each portion into a small circle.
- Place a spoonful of the miso filling in the center of each circle, then seal the edges to form dumplings.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the dumplings in the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- Serve the miso oyaki hot with soy sauce for dipping.
