Nagoya no Teppan Spaghetti, also known as Tetsu Plate Supageti, is a popular dish in Nagoya, Japan. This unique style of spaghetti is cooked on an iron plate, giving it a delicious smoky flavor and crispy texture.
Ingredients
- 300g spaghetti
- 200g pork belly, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cabbage, shredded
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup bonito flakes
- 2 green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Boil the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large iron plate or skillet over medium heat.
- Add the pork belly and cook until browned.
- Add the onion, cabbage, and garlic. Stir-fry until the vegetables are tender.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the iron plate.
- Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and ketchup. Toss everything together until well combined.
- Sprinkle black pepper and bonito flakes over the spaghetti. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
