Nakji Bokkeum (낙지볶음)
낙지볶음 (Nakji Bokkeum) is a popular Korean dish made with stir-fried octopus. It's a spicy and savory dish that is perfect for seafood lovers.
Ingredients
- 500g fresh octopus, cleaned and cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 onion, sliced
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp Korean red chili pepper paste (gochujang)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil to make the sauce.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and onion, and stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add the octopus to the pan and cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour the sauce over the octopus and stir to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Add the green onions and cook for 2 more minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
