Nakji Bokkeum (낙지볶음)

Ingredients

  • 500g fresh octopus, cleaned and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp Korean red chili pepper paste (gochujang)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil to make the sauce.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and onion, and stir-fry until fragrant.
  3. Add the octopus to the pan and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour the sauce over the octopus and stir to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Add the green onions and cook for 2 more minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and serve hot.
