Ingredients

  • 500g fresh octopus, cleaned and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3-4 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Korean red pepper paste (gochujang)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the Korean red pepper paste, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil to make the sauce.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the garlic, onion, and green onions, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the octopus to the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes until it is fully cooked.
  4. Pour the sauce over the octopus and vegetables, and stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and remove from heat.
