Ingredients
- 500g ostrich meat, cut into cubes
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ostrich meat over medium heat.
- Add the onions and garlic, and cook until softened.
- Stir in the tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, paprika, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, prepare the spaetzle by mixing the flour, eggs, and water to form a thick batter. Press the batter through a spaetzle maker or colander into boiling salted water. Cook for 2-3 minutes, then drain.
- Serve the ostrich goulash over the spaetzle and enjoy!
