Ingredients

  • 500g prawns, cleaned and deveined
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger and garlic paste, and cook for a minute.
  3. Add the chopped tomatoes, green chilies, and spices. Cook until the oil separates.
  4. Add the prawns and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour in the coconut milk and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the prawns are cooked through.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice.
