Nasi Goreng Kunyit (turmeric Fried Rice)

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, bell peppers)
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add beaten eggs and scramble until cooked. Remove from the wok and set aside.
  3. Heat the remaining oil in the wok. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Stir in turmeric powder, salt, and sugar. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked rice and mixed vegetables. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Return the scrambled eggs to the wok and mix well with the rice.
  7. Drizzle soy sauce over the rice and continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and serve the Nasi Goreng Kunyit hot.
