Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red chili, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, bell peppers)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Sauté until the onions are translucent.
  3. Add the red chili, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Cook for 2-3 minutes to toast the spices.
  4. Add the mixed vegetables and cook until they are tender.
  5. Add the cooked rice and soy sauce to the pan. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Once the rice is heated through and well combined with the spices and vegetables, remove from heat.
  8. Serve the Nasi Goreng Masala hot, garnished with fresh cilantro and a wedge of lime.
