Ingredients

  • 2 cups of Basmati rice
  • 500g of mixed meats (chicken, beef, and lamb)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 tablespoon of curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1/2 cup of coconut milk
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash the Basmati rice and set aside.
  2. In a large pot, heat some oil and sauté the sliced onion and minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add the mixed meats and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the curry powder, turmeric powder, and chili powder until the meats are coated with the spices.
  5. Add the diced tomatoes and cook until they soften.
  6. Pour in the coconut milk and season with salt. Add water as needed.
  7. Simmer the meat curry for 30 minutes until the flavors meld together.
  8. In a separate pot, cook the Basmati rice according to package instructions.
  9. Serve the aromatic rice with the flavorful meat curry.
