Ingredients
- 2 cups jasmine rice
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground turmeric
- 1 pandan leaf, tied into a knot
- 1 lemongrass, bruised
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the jasmine rice until the water runs clear, then drain.
- In a pot, combine the rice, water, ground turmeric, pandan leaf, lemongrass, and salt.
- Cook the rice over medium heat until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and remove the pandan leaf and lemongrass before serving.
