Ingredients

  • 2 lbs seal flippers, cleaned and skinned
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 3 potatoes, diced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 cups water

Instructions

  1. Place the seal flippers in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
  2. Skim off any foam that rises to the surface, then add the onion, carrots, potatoes, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cover and simmer for an additional hour, or until the meat is tender.
  4. Remove the bay leaf and serve hot.
