Nauruan Pulled Pork

Ingredients
- 3 lbs pork shoulder
- 1 cup Nauruan barbecue sauce
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Place the sliced onion and minced garlic in the bottom of a slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, and paprika. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
- Place the seasoned pork shoulder on top of the onions and garlic in the slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the Nauruan barbecue sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and chicken broth. Pour the mixture over the pork shoulder.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, or until the pork is very tender.
- Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
- Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir it into the sauce.
- Serve the Nauruan pulled pork on buns or alongside your favorite side dishes.
