Nepali Chicken Chow Mein
Nepali Chicken Chow Mein is a popular Nepalese stir-fried noodle dish that is flavorful and satisfying. It's a perfect combination of tender chicken, fresh vegetables, and savory noodles, all seasoned with aromatic Nepalese spices.
Ingredients
- 250g chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 200g chow mein noodles
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, julienned
- 2 carrots, julienned
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions
- Boil the chow mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Add the sliced chicken and cook until it's no longer pink.
- Toss in the vegetables and stir-fry until they are tender-crisp.
- Season with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, chili powder, and salt.
- Add the cooked noodles to the pan and toss everything together until well combined.
- Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot.
