Ingredients
- 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
- 4 pita bread
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, curry powder, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to make the sauce. Set aside.
- Season the thinly sliced beef with salt and pepper, then cook in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through.
- Warm the pita bread in the skillet for a few seconds on each side.
- Spread the sauce on the warmed pita bread, then layer with the cooked beef, shredded cabbage, carrots, and sliced onions.
- Roll up the pita bread tightly, then wrap in parchment paper or foil to hold it together.
- Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 4 shawarma wraps.
