Nkwobi Nachos
Nkwobi Nachos are a delicious fusion of Nigerian and Mexican cuisines, combining the rich flavors of nkwobi with the crunchy goodness of nachos. This recipe is perfect for a party or a fun snack with a twist!
Ingredients
- 1 lb cow foot, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup palm oil
- 1/2 cup ground crayfish
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp ground ehu seeds (calabash nutmeg)
- 2 tbsp ground utazi leaves
- Salt to taste
- 3 cups tortilla chips
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños
- 1/4 cup sour cream
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the cow foot, palm oil, ground crayfish, chopped onions, ehu seeds, utazi leaves, and salt. Cook over medium heat for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cow foot is tender and the flavors are well combined.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Arrange the tortilla chips on a baking sheet. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the chips, then top with the cooked nkwobi, diced tomatoes, and jalapeños.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with sour cream.
- Serve the Nkwobi Nachos hot and enjoy!
