Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Heat the milk and melted butter in a saucepan until warm. Add the milk mixture and egg to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes, then place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread the softened butter over the surface, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Roll up the dough and cut it into 12 pieces. Place the rolls on a baking sheet, cover, and let them rise for 30 minutes.
  6. Bake the rolls in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
