Nut-free Beef And Broccoli Stir Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the broccoli and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until crisp-tender.
  4. Return the beef to the skillet, then pour in the sauce mixture and water. Stir well to combine and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve the beef and broccoli stir-fry hot over steamed rice or noodles.
