Nut-free Spinach And Cheese Lasagna

Ingredients
- 1 box lasagna noodles
- 1 pound fresh spinach, chopped
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 jar marinara sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, oregano, and basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Place a layer of cooked lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.
- Spread a layer of the spinach and cheese mixture over the noodles.
- Repeat the layers of marinara sauce, noodles, and spinach and cheese mixture until all the ingredients are used, ending with a layer of marinara sauce on top.
- Sprinkle additional mozzarella cheese on top if desired.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
