Oazis Goyun Kebab (oasis Lamb Kebabs)

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs lamb, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 metal or soaked wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the chopped onion, minced garlic, olive oil, yogurt, cumin, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Add the lamb cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated lamb cubes onto the skewers.
  5. Grill the kebabs for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
