Ojingeo Bokkeum Spicy Stir-Fried Squid (오징어볶음)

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs fresh squid, cleaned and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3-4 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the gochugaru, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil to make the sauce.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the garlic, onion, and green onions, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the squid to the pan and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until it is cooked through.
  4. Pour the sauce over the squid and vegetables, and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is well coated and heated through.
  5. Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with sesame seeds, and serve hot.
