Okinawan Tofu Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu, drained and pressed
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and other desired toppings

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, crumble the tofu with your hands.
  2. Add the breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, soy sauce, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 burger patties.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Assemble the burgers with your favorite toppings on the buns.
