Okra Fry (bhendi Bhaja)

Ingredients

  • 500g okra, washed and dried
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Trim the ends of the okra and cut them into thin slices.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the okra slices.
  3. Sprinkle turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt over the okra. Mix well.
  4. Cook the okra on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and slightly crispy.
  5. Once done, remove from the heat and serve hot.
