Ondeh Ondeh Extravaganza
Ondeh Ondeh is a popular traditional dessert in Singapore, made with pandan-flavored glutinous rice balls filled with palm sugar and coated in grated coconut. This recipe takes the classic Ondeh Ondeh to the next level with an extravagant twist!
Ingredients
- 200g glutinous rice flour
- 150ml pandan juice
- 100g palm sugar (gula melaka), chopped into small cubes
- 100g grated coconut, steamed
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the glutinous rice flour with pandan juice to form a smooth dough.
- Pinch off small pieces of dough and flatten them. Place a cube of palm sugar in the center and roll into balls.
- Boil a pot of water and cook the rice balls until they float, then remove and drain.
- Roll the cooked rice balls in the steamed grated coconut mixed with salt.
- Serve and enjoy!
