Ingredients
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 1 cup chickpea flour
- 1 teaspoon chili powder

- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, chili powder, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt.
- Add water gradually to the dry ingredients and mix to form a smooth, thick batter.
- Add the thinly sliced onions to the batter and mix until the onions are well coated.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of the onion mixture into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the pakoras from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with chutney or sauce of your choice.
