Ingredients

  • 4 large oranges, zest and juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine the orange zest and sugar. Mix well to release the oils from the zest.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Gradually add the orange juice and vegetable oil while mixing continuously.
  5. Sift the flour and baking powder into the wet mixture. Gently fold until just combined.
