橙汁豆腐 (Orange Tofu) is a delicious and healthy American Chinese dish that combines the tangy flavor of oranges with the savory taste of tofu. It's a perfect option for a quick and easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu, drained and cut into cubes
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Then, pour in the orange juice, soy sauce, honey, orange zest, and red pepper flakes. Stir and bring to a simmer.
- Return the tofu to the skillet and toss to coat with the orange sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and the tofu is heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
