Oslo-style Salmon Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh salmon, skin removed
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and red onion for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, pulse the salmon until finely chopped.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chopped salmon, bread crumbs, dill, red onion, egg, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into burger patties.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the salmon burgers for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
  5. Toast the burger buns in the skillet until lightly golden.
  6. Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Serve hot and enjoy!
