  • 2 lbs ox trotters, cleaned and cut into pieces
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups beef broth

  2. Add the ox trotters to the pot and brown them on all sides.
  3. Stir in the ground cumin, paprika, dried thyme, salt, and pepper, ensuring the trotters are well coated with the spices.
  4. Pour in the beef broth, cover the pot, and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the trotters are tender and the liquid has reduced to a thick sauce.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Roll out the pastry dough and line a pie dish with the bottom crust.
  7. Fill the pie with the cooked ox trotters and their sauce.
