Paidakia (greek-style Lamb Chops)
Paidakia are Greek-style lamb chops that are marinated and then grilled to perfection. They are a popular dish in Greek cuisine and are often served with lemon wedges and a side of Greek salad.
Ingredients
- 8 lamb chops
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the lamb chops in a large resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the chops. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the lamb chops from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
- Grill the lamb chops for 3-4 minutes per side, or to your desired level of doneness.
- Remove from the grill and let the chops rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the paidakia with lemon wedges on the side.
