Palak Paneer Twist

Ingredients

  • 2 cups spinach, washed and chopped
  • 200g paneer, cut into cubes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chili, and sauté for a minute.
  3. Stir in the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
  4. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the chopped spinach and cook until wilted.
  6. Add the paneer cubes and mix gently. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and mix well. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  8. Season with salt and remove from heat.
  9. Palak Paneer Twist is ready to be served hot with naan or rice.
